More sharpness

The EOS R10 features our renowned Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focusing system, programmed using deep-learning AI technology for advanced subject recognition. It’s fast, precise and incredibly sensitive in low light – accurate in situations lit only by moonlight, in fact.

Canon EOS R10 - Experience a new kind of autofocus

Experience a new kind of autofocus

The EOS R10 can recognise people, vehicles and animals – such as cats, dogs and birds – tracking them as they move anywhere in the frame8. Even fast-moving subjects are rendered pin sharp.

When photographing people, the EOS R10 first prioritises your subject’s eyes – the ‘window to the soul’. If these aren’t visible, then the face is tracked instead. And if your subject turns away for a moment, the head is next in line, followed by the body.

More speed

React instinctively, capturing fleeting moments in time with bursts of high-speed shooting – ideal for wildlife and sports photography. The EOS R10 can capture continuous bursts of RAW, JPEG or HEIF images at up to 15 frames1 per second (or 23 fps5 using the camera’s electronic shutter). All while the camera tracks the subject across the frame, continuously adjusting focus and exposure in response to the changing scene.

Capturing split-second moments

Capturing split-second moments

In RAW Burst mode, photos can be captured at up to 30fps with a 75 per cent crop, with the images being stored in a single movie file for neat and easy organisation. Individual images can then be extracted, processed and edited with our free Digital Photo Professional (DPP) software. When Pre-Shooting is enabled in the camera’s menu, the EOS R10 captures 0.5 sec of action from before the shutter release button is pressed, so you’ll always catch that magical perfect moment.

Quick to respond

The camera reacts quickly to your commands too, giving you a huge advantage when it comes to capturing the decisive moment. A DIGIC X processor delivers responsive handling and minimal viewfinder lag or blackout, so you’ll always feel connected to your subject.

More flexibility

Whether you shoot photos, video or a mixture of the two, the EOS R10 delivers superb image quality every time. It’s portable too, weighing in at just 429g9, so you can always take it with you.

Take control

Photographers can choose to shoot either JPEG or HEIF files, or capture RAW files for maximum flexibility in post-production. Our Dual Pixel RAW technology even lets you enhance your images by micro-adjusting sharpness and bokeh and reducing ghosting.

The perfect balance

A 24.2 megapixel sensor gives you the ideal balance of detail, speed and low-light performance. A maximum sensitivity of ISO 32000 (extendable to ISO 51,200) allows for more detail and less noise when shooting in the dark. There’s also a built-in flash, giving you a little more light when you need it.

Canon EOS R10 - Panoramic and Panning Scene Modes

Panoramic and Panning scene modes are included on the EOS R10, making it easier to get superb results when shooting with these techniques.

Lights, camera, action!

4K that defies expectation

4K that defies expectation

The EOS R10 captures extraordinary 4K video footage that looks superb on UHD displays and allows cropping without loss of quality when editing for Full HD projects. Filmmakers can choose between 4K/60p3 , for the silky-smooth reproduction of moving objects and slow-motion effects, or stunning oversampled 4K/30p created from the 6K output from the camera’s 24.2 megapixel sensor. The results have to be seen to be believed.

Super smooth motion

When shooting in Full HD mode, frame rates up to 120fps can be used, revealing even more subtleties in the motion of moving objects.10 And for slow moving scenes, the ability to create awesome 4K and Full HD time-lapse movies in-camera adds even more to your creative arsenal.

More simple and satisfying to use

From the moment you pick up the EOS R10 you’ll feel connected to it, like it’s an extension of your creative self. Buttons and dials fall instinctively under your fingers and thumbs and the camera’s electronic viewfinder (EVF) offers a clear and accurate view of the world.

OVF Assist

There is even an OVF Assist mode to help those transitioning from cameras with optical viewfinders, such as DSLRs.

EVF

The EOS R10’s 2.36 million dot EVF shows exactly how a captured image will appear, from depth of field to white balance and Picture Style. It’s comfortable, easy to use and is customisable so you can see just the information you need.

Vari-Angle touchscreen display

The EVF is complemented by a large 7.5cm, 1.04 million dot Vari-Angle touchscreen display that lets you compose and shoot from high up or low down, so you can take a different view of your subject.

APS-C comes to the EOS R system

A system designed for the future, today

The EOS R10 is a member of the EOS R system – a collection of cameras, lenses and accessories designed from the ground up to deliver superb photography and video, now and into the future. A faster, wider (54mm) lens mount allows new levels of performance, which translates in new ways for you to be creative.

Integrate and expand

However, you can still use your existing EF and EF-S lenses too, thanks to a trio of lens mount adapters. These can also add extra functionality, like customisable controls or a variable ND filter.

APS-C vs Full Frame Comparison

The APS-C advantage

Because the EOS R10 is built around an APS-C sized sensor, lenses offer 1.6x more telephoto reach than equivalent focal lengths on a full-frame camera. Get right next to your subject for frame-filling wildlife and action shots that are full of impact.

Learn and grow as your shoot

For those who are new to EOS, or new to photography, a guided user interface helps you develop your skills as well as teaching you how your camera works. When you’re ready to go solo, the standard camera interface is so intuitive and user-friendly you might even forget it’s there.

Built-in Bluetooth Low Energy maintains an always on connection, allowing 2.4GHz Wi-Fi to be activated seamlessly when images need to be transferred. It’s also possible to control the camera remotely from your smart device running the Canon Camera Connect app: seeing what it sees, changing settings and capturing photos and video. For simpler remote operation, the BR-E1 wireless Bluetooth controller is also available.

The EOS R10 also features USB-C for in-camera charging and tethered shooting to PC/Mac computers.

Influence your followers

Vloggers and content creators can use the EOS R10 to live stream superb quality video directly to their followers on YouTube7. Just connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network – no computer required. A Vari-Angle LCD screen can be rotated to give you an accurate view if you’re presenting.

The EOS R10 also supports vertical video capture – perfect for shooting content for social media stories.

Your creativity in the cloud

Our image.canon gateway puts your content right where it needs to be. Images and movies can be uploaded seamlessly – straight from the camera to the image.canon cloud using Wi-Fi. From here they can be moved to long-term storage to other cloud platforms or downloaded to a PC or Mac for editing.

Canon aims to achieve net-zero CO2 emissions from its business activities by 2050

We will achieve this by delivering an average improvement of 3% per year in the lifecycle CO2 emissions improvement index per product. Which if sustained would mean roughly a 50% reduction from 2008 levels by the year 2030. We recognise this to be in line with the level of reduction called for by the Paris Agreement.

We will continue to undertake target reviews from a long-term perspective as a way of checking our contribution to the realisation of a low-carbon society.
